Billboards are so annoying. It seems to me that they are just giant eyesores that line the highway on your way home at night. When I was in Ireland recently it was a joy to drive around and not see those big metal monsters, just the beauty of the terrain. There is an exception to almost every rule though and I have a cool example for you.
A school in Lima, Peru has developed a billboard that provides drinking water to the local citizens out of thin air. Seriously, out of thin air. You can watch the school’s video on the project here. I’m certainly not a science whiz so I can’t tell you all the inner workings of this magical machine, but I can sure admire it.
Turning something that is typically a blemish into an enormous community benefit is inspiring. A billboard that is actually useful – what a novel concept. Do you have an idea that could change your community?
